The race yesterday at Martinsville was won by Jimmie Johnson while Jeff Gordon came in 2nd. Gordon slammed Johnson's rear bumper on the final lap, in turns 3 and 4. Gordon pulled halfway alongside his teammate, causing the two cars to bump into each other. Both phenomenal drivers were able to keep control of their vehicles and Johnson was able to keep the lead, coming in first.
Denny Hamlen, who started on the pole, led 125 laps then went on to finish 3rd. Kyle Bush came in 4th and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who led 137 laps came in 5th.
Tony Stewart came in 7th, and here's where I need to tell you all that all of the above drivers were driving Chevy's. Way to go Chevrolet!
Scott Riggs came in 8th, Jamie McMurray 9th and Matt Kenseth finished 10th.
There were 13 caution periods for 93 laps and the race was red flagged for over 31 minutes on lap 354 due to rain.
